Clean Air Upright Vacuums
Hard body bagged or bagless style vacuums, where the motor is placed after the bag or filter, pulling the air through a defined air path, provides suction for on-board tools. However, because of the greater distance the air has to travel, it is less effective in removing dirt in carpets.
Direct Air Vacuums
These soft-bag style vacuums offer strong carpet cleaning performance because the motor is located in the nozzle just above the carpet and pushes the air through into a bag. Cleans carpets well but limited in high filtration and lacks effective on-board tools or no tools at all.
